FW: You might be in the Wyoming District if…

One of the brothers online has a continuing series we've been watching. It begins with the line in the title above...and then provides a humorous or unique comment on life in the Wyoming District of the LCMS.

Here is the most recent entry.

DS for our Spring Pastoral Conferences commemorated Athanasius of Alexandria. And yes, we confessed the creed named in his honor. The Distribution hymn was a metrical paraphrase of that third ecumenical creed.

What remarkable unity of doctine and practice we enjoy if the only "controversy" was using the creed in two different ways! :)

And, you are possibly in the Wyoming District if  the host congregation's classical school concluds Matins with "Dona Nobis Pacem," (Grant Us Peace in Latin)…

You go to a pastor's conference, and the scandalous topic of conversation regarding the Divine Service is that the Athanasian Creed was done twice. (As a creed, and as a hymn, with all 47 verses.)
